There's no more season, they say...
While the fine weather continues in much of France, autumn is well and truly upon us, the water is cooler and autumn storms are on the horizon.
Many of our professional charter customers are still on the pontoons, in small shifts, helping the lucky few take advantage of the mild October weather. These two weeks of vacation will undoubtedly be the last outing of the year for many yachtsmen.
And it's always a good idea to take on the sea and the ocean in winter, when the wind is strong enough for sailing purists, or when the weather is milder for others, for a walk or a fishing trip...
Professionals have become accustomed to having no more "breaks" in the year, and this is also the wish of many boat enthusiasts.
This is also why, as a "minimum service", some rental companies continue to make part of their fleet available after the autumn vacations, notably through Liberty Pass.
Drawing on the experience of this intense season, our teams are continuing to improve the digital tools available to professionals for managing boat rentals.
Here are just a few of the changes introduced since September 2021.
Charter Version 2.1.0
A new search engine
It gives you instant access to a boat file, a recent or current rental. Save time by searching by renter name, brand or boat name...
The geolocation search uses your phone's position to find nearby boats.
Offline mode
The Charter application can now operate with very little network coverage. The main problem is in areas with poor coverage or where jammers (army, mega-yachts...) are present, which makes it impossible to take all the photos you need for the check-out at the height of the season. By activating on-demand image transfer, check-out photos will be sent as soon as you have access to a 4-5G or WIFI network.
In this case, copies of the check-out reports will be sent to the tenant as soon as all the photos have been transferred.
One Way rental
Departure and arrival ports can be entered for greater visibility of One Way rentals.
New Rental Timeline
We've optimized the rental dashboard by displaying tenant information and improving navigation performance.
Our teams have also improved the telemetry functions, such as the presentation of the day's diesel consumption (if available), and many of the application's ergonomic elements, with the help of our customers.
We continue to improve our tools to make them as efficient as possible, and the best on the market.
